tahoe elopement photographer

your day can look however you want it to
the rule is that there are no rules
Who said you need to follow an outline? Elopements should be all about crafting a day that truly reflects the two of you! However the two of you want to celebrate and spend your day you can do it! You can take a helicopter ride to an epic remote location, you can hike or not hike, you can take a boat ride, you can stroll through a forest. If you can dream it up then we can make it happen.
Remember that this is your wedding day and it deserves to be special!
so, why tahoe?
No need to jet to another state, everything you need is right here. Lake Tahoe boasts one of the most unique landscapes in the world. From its crystal clear waters to its panoramic views of Alpine mountain peaks, it’s an incredible location to promise forever to the one you love most. Whether you’re looking to have guests in town or spend your elopement getaway with your partner, there is something for everyone here. During the summer you can hit the beaches, take a boat out on the lake, or take a hike. During the winter, you can hit the slopes, snowmobile in the backcountry, and enjoy some apres-ski at one of the many great restaurants and bars.

what you can expect
my promise to you
I want every session to be fun and catered to your relationship. I will be there to guide you from the beginning to end to make sure you have everything you need; a tissue, your dress-fluffed, a glass of wine, or someone to hold your bouquet? I'm your girl.

faq
finding new places
From hiking through national parks to capturing love on level ground, my speciality is helping you enjoy and remember all of the details of your intimate wedding day. My love of adventure, gorgeous landscapes, and best friends who can’t keep their hands off each other shines when I get the opportunity to photograph a couple.
making your day unique to you
Whether you are looking for a simple 4 hour coverage for your day, or a full day experience - you are only going to have ONE elopement or wedding day in your life after all - I am here for you from the start to finish. We'll make sure that every detail is thought of and that the images actually represent your relationship and the love you both share.
getting creative
One of my very favorite aspects of photography is the ability to be creative. I have always been a creative-minded person and love to think outside the box. Feeling that you want to do something out of the norm? I'm all for it! Whatever it is, let's chat and make it happen.
documenting your love story
I love being able to tell love stories with a click of my camera. It lights my heart on fire to witness two people promising their lives to one another and that I get to capture these special moments; big, small, and everything in-between.
your coffee loving, adventure-seeking gal
hey friend, i'm kristin
your Tahoe elopement photographer
I'm a twenty-something wife and mama based in Auburn, California. I often wonder how I got so lucky to do what I do. I celebrate peoples' biggest days with them, constantly get to make new friends and edit images in my sweatpants - it doesn't get much better than that!
My goal is to capture raw, organic moments that showcase each individual's personality. Life isn't prom date poses. Life is wind-blown hair and laughing until you cry. It can be messy and beautiful. This is what I aim to capture every time I pick up my camera.
I may be bias, but I think Tahoe is truly something special. Its beauty, the clean air and the thriving natural habitat are all reasons that this place is significant for so many people. Tahoe is where we have a second home, where my husband proposed (at the Donner Summit Overlook) and where we took our engagement photos.
When I'm not behind the camera, I’m most likely binge watching reality TV, sipping on coffee, waiting for my pizza to arrive and snuggling all my kiddos (three human and two with fur).
